Titmouse, who had always been so oblivious to the dangers around him and the turmoil he set into motion, was being taught a lesson today - and all he could do was sit and take it, paralyzed by a strange mixture of fear, awe, and utter blankness; except as he watched the bear, the creature turned away from him and directed its ire elsewhere.
