He had all but collapsed beside his rescuer, feeling the thunder of his heart thrumming wildly in his chest and then, as he tried to stand, the weakness everywhere else. They rested together for a while; the stranger spoke sweetly to him and he felt comfort, but was too addled by the entire experience through the underworld to dare let himself fall asleep. Eventually, with @Shisu's aid, the broken boy was escorted through the meadow and across the threshold of the forest's dark edge. Once within the territory his trembling limbs gave out again, and he resorted to pleading voicelessly at his companion for help.
