Lost Creek Hollow shrines

there was a time where indra could have sunk readily into her new lifestyle, but in the hollow she was restless. it was not the fault of her hosts, who graciously accepted the burgeoning burden of their family -- it was the fault of indra, who unknowingly, shared similar feelings with mona about being cooped in for the winter.

she had always been a transient -- it was uncharacteristic of her to settle in bearclaw as long as she had, but that endurance had more to do with laurel's reasons (and there had been many) for staying in the stone-limned fishbowl. she had no intentions of leaving the hollow -- but she felt out of place here, and instinctively sought the company of mona as well.

when she came upon her she was relieved, and it was as if she had dismantled some mental armor that heavily weighed over her; she seemed lighter each step she took closer to her friend, and warmly she brushed her muzzle along the firebird's cheek, pulling back with a sigh that seemed so close to content, but not quite. "i was looking for you --" she murmured, her ears held at a soft angle that coincided with the gentle warmth that brimmed in her usually reserved gaze. "i'm glad you came with us.. what do you think of it here?"
