Bearclaw Valley mesmeric revelation

He could smell the sick and hear her.  His ears tucked back, but he didn't balk from it when she invited him in.  If she was sick, that was all the more reason for a friend to come and help!  He might not know how to fix her but there were other things he could do.

He crept in quietly and let out a soft whine.  The air was heavy with the stink of fever and old blood.  He wasn't sure if she'd prefer to go to the open air or remain and he felt a little stupid asking.  Should she leave?

He progressed towards her indecisively, crouching when he got close and keeping his tail tucked, entire demeanor submissive.  He was there to help, and if she didn't want to leave, then he'd at least get rid of some of the mess before he remained as company.
