He knows something is wrong the moment he wakes up. Well — something is always wrong, isn't it? He rises slowly, unable to gather the energy to panic as his situation becomes clear to him. Slowly, he stretches out stiff limbs and swipes a foreleg over his slightly-weepy nose, shivering faintly.
It feels almost as if he'd been caught in a stampede the night before — overnight, his entire body has become sore. His head aches. There's a gnawing feeling in his stomach, painful and lingering somewhere between intense hunger and intense nausea. There's no way he's eating, though. Mucus has already gathered in the back of his throat — ugh.
He slips quietly from the den as the sun rises, making a point of avoiding his packmates. No need to worry them just yet; it's taken him this long to get sick, so maybe if he just isolates himself for a few days it'll go away. He slips off to Paradise Garden, trying to ignore the way his chest tightens to see the dark mound of recently-upturned dirt among the flowers. He settles beside it, swallowing hard and cringing at the feeling of mucus sliding down his aching throat. He almost says something — that's what you're supposed to do, right? Keep them company even in the afterlife? Maybe she's still listening, somewhere.
But he can't think of anything to say — it all feels too empty now. Maybe she's not listening at all.

The fiery young woman examined the cracks in her pads over and over, licking over them every now and then. It didn't help, it didn't even numb the pain all that much, but she hated just looking at things that needed fixing in the hopes that someone else would do something. All others were scumbags and one should never expect anything from them except some decency regarding her presence every now and then.
One grey ear flicked at the sound that approached from behind and she was quick to jump on all feet, no matter the pain caused by such an abrupt movement, head lowered and eyes scanning her surroundings. She didn't trust any of them, not yet at least. It was too good that they had taken her in, wounded and broken, and if life had taught her anything it was that anything that seemed too good to be true probably wasn't to begin with.
Another small and feminine male, was that the beauty standard for the men in this place or something? She didn't find it particularly appealing, as Koume was naturally more attracted to strong and powerful wolves. Then again, power could also lay within, but that was harder to spot from a distance.
Hey.Was her short and rather abrupt greeting as she limped her way closer.

hope I can still throw Khali in :) if not this will be a cameo
Khali had awoken in the morning early, it had been a routine since Lily had left. He hoped she would be back soon so every morning he went to the borders to patrol but also to see if her scent was there. Every day he worried what would happen to her out there, she had just gotten better. It was on his mind again this morning as he sniffed for her at the edge of the territory. It was no use just yet, she hadn’t came back.
With a small sigh he continued the patrol for just a few minutes before he ventured back to the heart of the territory. Khali felt extra nostalgic today and padded off to the Garden where he last talked to her. If she went out and got hurt surely he’d never forgive himself.
He shook the thought as he came to the flowery field. In the field he saw Alarian and another wolf he had yet to meet which wasn’t too surprising. Slowly he approached and gave a chuff of greeting to both.
“Swahili” is in blue, he tries not to speak it so no one will know his past.
