All Welcome
coraline lurked around the outskirts of the valley, shy and shadow-bound in her efforts to keep her presence hidden from @Mireille. there was so much to be seen, even from a distance. strange wolves and strange animals, forever-stretches of trees and hills in every direction. it was too quiet in some ways, too loud in others. the air smelled strange and gave her headaches. all the details were wrong, and coraline felt so very lonely in this newness. lonely, even with mireille so close.

but she did not regret her journey here, for it was full of wonders, too, and strange fascinating wolves all beautiful and foreign in their own ways. she watched where she could, and crept among trees, and tried to learn as much as possible without being seen.

all welcome! a few more tags for those who may be interested: @Samani @Kausiut @Veteran i would tag the other mg kiddos if the names didn't break posts!

cameo, unless

mireille, having been put to work by @Aiolos and the wolf called moon-woman, had been gathering hides at the corner of the valley.
she dragged them into the shade of stilted trees, and there she caught the scent of salt. at once her ears lifted, and she looked around and around herself. but when she saw no one, mireille told herself she must have imagined what she wanted to scent.
she turned away, headed again to the dens of snow.

the glimmer of red under the sun caught coraline's eye, and set her heartbeat fluttering and stuttering. mireille! she hurried to hide behind a tree, guilt rising in her throat like bile. she wanted nothing more than to go to her sister — but there were a hundred things holding her back. would it offend mireille that she had been followed? would she tell coraline to leave? or, worse, would she expect her to mingle with the wolves in the valley as she did?

fear held coraline in place until mireille turned to leave, and suddenly a great panic seized her. she did not want to be alone! the sandy sea wolf surged forward at once, closing half the distance before she froze, struck once again by fear of the consequences of revealing herself. the two panics warred inside of her, and she stared desperately after mireille, one paw lifted and tucked to her chest like a chihuahua in distress.

again the steps.
mireille turned to see coraline, and gasped. "poukisa ou la?" she inquired, though her tone was more amazed than demanding. she sought to check her sister over now, searching for any injuries that might have been gotten on their journey.
"resteras-tu? je vais vous présenter mes amis." she felt many things about coraline's appearance, but foremost was a feeling of joy.
but mireille did not think that her sister should return alone to sapphique. she wanted coraline to stay with her now, until it came time for them both to go back.
