she arched beneath him, her breath hitching as his warmth pressed into her, their movements a rhythm both ancient and unyielding. eyes glimmered like molten gold, holding his gaze as if she could draw the very essence of him into her soul. her voice, low and laced with fervor, spilled into the air between them.
she let her head tilt back, exposing the curve of her neck to him, a gesture as yielding as it was bold. her body pressed closer, their heat entwined, her voice dropping lower still.
the night deepened around them, but the fire they stoked burned far brighter, threatening to eclipse even the celestial light above.

when they had parted, if only for a time, sun eater devoured great draughts of air and lay beside her, lids gone to half-mast and body more languid that he oft allowed himself to be.
something she had said remained with him, and he turned upon his cheek to look at her.
"star eater," and his voice was a somnolent rumble against the tumbled pelts, their mussed fur.
a grin touched the lanzadoii man. "it is our way to have many names."
