If you don't like my assumptions made here, LMK and I can rewrite bits!  Or just.. Not understandable in general, this feels kinda screwy, heh.

She had been just carefully following the trail, keeping her head down as she passed through a still-tall patch of grass, when there was a bit of a scuffle up ahead.  Though her ears tipped forward, she couldn't see what was going on -- not to mention she was tracking by the ground scents not air, the wind wasn't right for her to smell what was headed her way.  She was left guessing, though her pace did quicken a bit so she could investigate.

Except that got louder and before she knew it, she was reeling backwards to avoid a collision with some comparatively smallish brown blur instead of sinking her fangs into a grey one.  Treason wasn't about to let this slight pass without a word, a unleashing a snarl at this invasion of her personal bubble, the ruining of her day.  The hell-- was about all she could put together as she realized that was some dumb kid from gods knew where messing it all up.

Her possible prey had been an easy-to-miss dart coming from a very unexpected direction, now forgotten and lost to her.  Well.  On the one hand, at least she hadn't put too much effort into that one, but outright thieving the kill (if successful) from the youth wasn't off the list.  She'd ruined Treason's hunt, after all.

It had also pointed her in a direction where she could see a black wolf looking on which she erroneously assumed this whelp belonged to, but given it might be too much for one post, she'd refrain from a pointed comment for at least a few seconds.  And if the kid actually was escorted, that meant thievery probably wouldn't go over well. Unfortunate.
Arbiter is often not a nice person and will think mean things without acting on them.
If you aren't sure whether her snarky thoughts might be readable, just ask!  IC≠OOC
