This thread is backdated to when eyeballs were opening, so like a week ago, oops.  CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE, bug your mom or your bro. XD  I'll post with War at least once in this thread either way.

At least these first handful of days allowed for rest, recovery, and a certain amount of trying to figure out how things were going to align for the next however many months.  It took her the better part of a week to really feel comfortable with @Terance coming into the den -- so that she didn't look up with that hawkish intensity and instead shifted back to how she was before.  She wasn't exactly keen on the idea of guests, though, so keeping things otherwise low key was pretty nice.

But then again, she was also probably reaching the limits of how long she could tolerate pups in their rather worm-like initial evolution.  But heck, she had pretty good timing, seemed like -- Hood's eye's had started to open, so the others couldn't be too far behind -- or maybe she just hadn't noticed yet.  It didn't seem like he could see all that much, in fact he'd completely freaked out when Treason had gotten up and headed outside to relieve herself.  After settling him down again, they then had to repeat the process when Treason came back in.  Well.  At least it gave her something new to do?  Whatever shapes and shadows he was seeing, that new sensation seemed to be overloading him a little, so she could only imagine @Jet and Ash might have similar reactions.  Or not.  It wasn't like she had much to compare it to.  Maybe Hood just freaked out easy.
Arbiter is often not a nice person and will think mean things without acting on them.

For a brief and blessed span, she was convinced she had acquired FREEDOM! The Great Wall of Mom disappeared, and while it was a bit chilly, particularly as Jet squirmed her way free of the cozy pile o' brother, that concern was secondary. Jet had been growing increasingly frustrated by Treason's continuing attempts to thwart the puptatoes' bumbling explorations, and in particular she really rather resented being prevented from giving the regularly-appearing mysterious male's scent a thorough investigative poking. But just as her wobblingly paddling feet seemed to align themselves with her determined will to make good her escape, Jet squeaked in protest as a big white shadow smelling of Mom reappeared and quickly corralled the lot of them once again.

Jet's protesting warblings didn't last long before petering out this time, however, as it crossed her mind dimly that there had been a distinct shadow there, and a change in the ambient light as Mom left and returned and then sprawled right back in her daughter's way. Jet paused a moment to marvel, and tilted her head slowly first this way, then that. She batted curiously at the fluffy mountain of Treason tail that stood in her way once more, gawking at its wavery snowy form, and then reached out to experimentally mouth the thing. She quickly spat it out again. Nope, it still tasted just the same. ...Instead Jet settled for awkwardly batting at it, and then turning to do the same to the nearest convenient brother (@Warlock, as it happened). He was a new and interesting blob to ogle too but Jet had to make sure that despite his newfound appearance he too still felt just the same to her investigative paws.

Aside from his penchant to freak out at these new moving things that were also big, Hood was pretty chill about everything else.  He wasn't particularly loud or demanding (but maybe that was just in comparison to his siblings).  Once he calmed down and things had stopped moving, it was going to be easy for him to go to sleep again.  Maybe.

The only problem was the presence of a certain sister.  A certain sister that totally liked being a jerk, not that he had the current level of awareness to understand that.  He'd just been contentedly dozing off and she had to go and start jabbing him!  Why!  Stuff was still pretty blurry so Jet was pretty close to being a stealth fighter at this point against the dark shadows of the den.  With a quiet yip, he flailed and tried to flail back at her with one wildly-uncoordinated paw.  The other was stuck under him trying to prevent him from rolling away like a fat sausage.  Maybe he could bop her on the head and make her stop or something!
