@Illidan, fake Alpha challenge to anyone reading!

He had been here long enough. With all the excitement heading their way after the previous alpha had caused a ruckus with another pack - for whatever reason, it had something to do with puppies long before Vengeance had even known of of either pack, long before he had joined - Vengeance had decided to test out the new leader. The previous Beta, Illidan.

With this time here, he had eyeballed a certain location that seemed prime for a battle. The ground was flat enough, there wasn't much of any clearing but this one should do well enough so neither would get tripped up on clutter on the ground.

For a moment he stood, thinking of what was the best course of action... and once he was pleased with what he had came up with, the brute lifted his head to the heavens, and for the first time in his history, sang a gruesom, dark, deep melody to summon the Alpha. A long and sombre song that echoed as far as the lands would stretch.

He'd test this pack to see if it was worth his effort to stay... test the alpha once and for all for his loyalty and soon to be efforts against their possible enemy should they come to the border seeking retribution for Caiaphais' actions.

the voice that called was not one that he recognized. this meant very little, as the young man had been occupied with patrolling the borders and searching for any sign that his mother had survived the excursion she had taken to easthollow’s borders. every day that passed by him was enough to set his nerves to fire. it all felt too overwhelming, but what choice did he have other than to push through it, as he had with everything else in his life that had threatened to shrink him to nothing.

so, illidan turned toward the summons with stiff limbs and approached at a pace that he deemed acceptable. when he found the brute who had called, his hawkish gaze locked tightly to the large brute. he was a formidable beast in size. his countenance did not suggest that he was anything other than that in mentality, either. the young wildling had learned not to judge quickly by appearance, but he could not stop the thrumming of his heart; it beat within him like a drum of war.

“you seek a challenge?” the ghost inquired in a gravelly voice. his crown was lifted to show a curious interest in the call. “you had better be ready and willing to test your strength…” for if there had been anything that life had taught him, it was that he would not go down until the last ounce of strength had been ripped from his soul.

Time ticked on in what felt longer than it actually had. Although the Alpha clearly wasn't in any rush to answer the call, Vengeance's lack of patience was the culprit behind his itchy trigger finger to get this battle under way. It felt as if the lands had gone quiet afte the call, no birds sang, the waves fell on def ears as he tuned into the surroundings for one sound, and one sound only... the sound of foot steps approaching.

One ear after another followed as they caught their prey, eventually Illidan was in sight and Vengeance turned to face him once and for all. Pools of crimson washed over the soon to be opponent, taking in every inch of the young man before speaking to clear his intentions for why he has called.  I challenge for the throne. He lied.

Honestly, Vengeance had no intention to take the throne of Rusalka. He held no interest in its members truth be told, they had very little use to him and the bitckering and attitudes were more of an annoyance than anything else. He may wind up attempting to assassinate each and every one of them if he were to become their king.. but he would give his higher ups a chance, a chance to stand out. Illidan especially.

Maw split as putrid saliva stringed between canines, but he would not make this test easy, he had every intention to test the Alpha with everything he had. Wasting little time, he began. With powerful strides, he aimed his first attack at Illidan's face, if he could, he wished to get the man by the space between the crook of his jaw and throat, to control his neck from the start.
