All Welcome
she's learned from past mistakes, and she will not let packmates slip through her fingers again. the list of missing is a lofty one already, but her focus is on those who remain. she calls for @Speedy as she returns from a sweep of the territory, muddied and damp. there is no sign of the leaders, none either of Verx and his small family, nor Firefly. She assumes they've fled elsewhere, though where is not her concern. she will not go chasing after those who'd vanished again.

they need to hunt, and soon - the prey is thinning alarmingly fast, the season the stark opposite of what it should be. but first, she'll check on the pack's only mother, not allowing herself to think of her own children, somewhere out there (if they still live) in all of this destruction.

Ever since their home had become flooded, the healer had been more on edge. The sight of the destruction made her realize just how dangerous things were. Her children could have easily fallen victim to the rising waters—Acheron almost had. She couldn't bear the thought, so she kept them close in the following days, her anxiety growing as the intensity of the shaking and rumbling grew.

Dawn's call sounded across the grassland, and Speedy sat up from where she had settled to keep an eye on the children. She didn't want leave them, so she walked a small distance and called back, requesting Dawn come to her so that she wouldn't have to go very far from the pups.
