Coconut Grove ignorantly specific

someone from rusalka?

unaware of their neighbor's recent move, she moved carelessly down the coast's edge. things were quickly falling apart on the island; their members were disappearing, and the two leaders were preparing to give birth. what were their options?

the guardian settled at the base of a coconut tree and groomed the fur against her thigh. someone was nearby, but she couldn't tell who, and didn't particularly care to find out.

Continuously he treaded along the borders of Rusalka's newest claim. The women were happier here, and in turn, so was he. He lived vicariously through them, in proximity he could feel their joy and he supposed it was a good enough reason for all their hard work in claiming the new lands by the sea. 

As he padded along, a somewhat familiar scent fluttered by on the breeze, catching his attention as the two faced wolf approached. His posture non-too friendly. Although he had no quarrels with the women who had so briefly called Rusalka home, Erzulie's distaste for them, and others, was enough reason for him to offer a growl in greeting. 

No charge, no snarl, only the simple melody as he focused on the pale woman.

rosencrantz? she sounded her own warning growl in response. the wounds from their most recent meeting had healed almost in pace with his face, which should have revealed her feelings. ying slowly stood, knowing that she couldn't welcome conflict in her current state.

the woman hesitantly dropped her guard, still staring at rose with an unsure frown. why on the coast? ying asked. was there something she should be aware of?

As she growled in return, only then did he crack a snarl. The hairs raising along his spine as he amped up his own warning in response. Tail swishing behind him like a snake coiled and ready to strike. Even now with her guard somewhat dropped, he kept his raised. Unwilling to give an inch after her initial reaction. 

We've moved. And oh boy will the betas be unpleased to know of what he found skulking about. Erzulie's recent bitter tone when speaking of these women was enough for him to be certain of that.

rosencrantz maintained his stance but she did not submit. neither rosalyn nor erzulie had been courteous enough to visit? ying locked this information away, thinking that it might eventually prove important.

she shifted her weight and lifted her chin, appraising rosencrantz in silence. rather than lower herself, ying took several steps backward, widening the distance between herself and their new claim. 

are the leaders around? ying tightened her jaw, staring squarely in rose's direction. the women already knew about the attacks, but did they know about her appointed role? regardless, ying didn't care to share any information without them present.

The way she continued to stand and challenge his position, staring at him without any attempt to ease the tension. She was the one who was too close, she was in the wrong. Questioning why they were here, and now asking about their leaders?

You will talk to me first, and I will decide if you need to speak with them. He was the gamma now after all, though it was no leader position - he was aware enough that perhaps none of them would be all too excited to be called to speak with one of the sisters. 

Not to mention she made no attempt to call out to them. No, he had to find her here. 

And they were pregnant... Aningan wasn't around all that much, Erzulie was heavily pregnant by now and Rosalyn possibly newly so, but even then, without a bump showing, that was possibly his litter and protect it he shall.

give them our welcome. she continued looking at him, despite his clear reluctance to share anything else. the entire situation seemed suspicious. what did rusalka have to hide? ying planned to think about these things later and decided whether it was information worth bringing to her counterparts.

rosencrantz didn't want her here, and she didn't plan to stay. there were other places to lounge, places much more peaceful than here. mind buzzing with more worries, ying dipped her head in silent goodbye and turned to walk away.

With a sneer, he watched her with a harsh stare as she walked off. The Rusalkan guard making sure she disappeared in the distance before returning to his position upon the borders - soon he would have to inform Erzulie and Rosalyn of the woman's appearance and knowledge of heir new location. Depending on what they say and feel about it - his next encounter with Ying may not go as smoothly as this...
