She was still a bit in shock after everything had transpired. Over the course of their travel Cordelia had been worried about her wellbeing, if she would have been accepted into the pack and if the pack would be everything that Memory said it would be. He had told as much of the truth as he could with his limited knowledge, but it never crossed her mind that he could have been denied acceptance. Instantly she felt bad for him. He had been kind enough to extend his help in freeing her from the Nightwalkers and at the end of it, she was turning her back on him. It didn't feel right and she didn't want to do it, but she needed to trust in Ibis's words that it would be sorted out at a different time. She didn't know the queen at all, only meeting her today, but it seemed to bother her as well and as the second or perhaps highest-ranking wolf in the pack at the moment her thoughts should have influence where Cordelia's did not.

Walking alongside the queen as she escorted Cordelia into the territory, Cordelia felt the need to say something. She had already thanked the queen for her acceptance, though she wouldn't mind saying it again she didn't want to sound repetitive or irritating. Perhaps a question. Surely any joining member would have questions being in a new home. "My apologies if my inquiry is intrusive, but that female... she is not the empress?" she questioned. Excluding this special circumstance knowing the leaders of a pack was important information for any wolf within a pack to know, and Cordelia hoped it was an alright question to ask.
Cordelia's identity is currently unknown to the wolves of the Teekon Wilds.
She is known by all as Corra.

Ibis took her time as she escorted the newly arrived woman through the vale, making sure she was able to handle the pace with which they moved. Thoughts swirled in her mind—a lot of confusion whirled there—and Ibis knew she had to get to the bottom of all this.

...she is not the empress? Corra voiced cautiously, and Ibis paused with one paw raised, mid-stride, and shook her head.

I am sorry for all of that, truly. It is the first I have heard about any... changes, and, I know how awkward that must have been. She couldn't quite straighten her thoughts out. But you will be safe here. Please, feel free to roam, to rest, or do whatever you like. Are you hungry..? The girl was so thin, Ibis thought, and the question suddenly felt wrong on her tongue. Of course she was hungry! How insensitive --!

Super sorry for the long wait on this 3:

Cordelia's assumption was correct. The white female she had just meet wasn't the "true" empress but might have been for the time. It wasn't completely clear to Cordelia but the way the queen replied also make it sound as though she too was in the dark. Perhaps it had been due to her impregnated state that kept her within the den more than out and about where news flowed.

Ibis gave Cordelia free reign of the territory, although she would stay under the care of Awenfen till she recovered, she appreciated the sentiment. When offered food she replied "I appreciate the offer but Memory was kind enough to satiate me along our journey. He was very kind to me, and didn't need to be," she acknowledged.

Its ok! Wanna close this off now, since so much has happened IC since this? :O

It was good to hear that she had been cared for. The proper treatment of the woman made Ibis reconsider the scarred man on the borders, see him in a new light - but she was still unable to change how things had transpired. If this pale doppelganger was truly serving them as Empress - even as a defensive measure - where did that land Ibis' power? Was she able to refute the established command, or was she to bow to and accept what this Hime decreed? Worry spanned across her narrow face, but it did not last. Better to stow that and focus on their newest charge.

Good, Ibis murmured with a little smile and a nod. If you should need anything, we have guards roaming to protect the vale and they will happily oblige. Or you may call for me specifically, or.. Anyone else, we're all here to help you. It felt good to help others, although Ibis hoped she could fix whatever Hime had broken, or at least talk to their true leader to get it sorted out.

I will leave you now to get acquainted. Welcome. She says, and as she gives the final welcome Ibis dips her head, then prances off a few feet - picking up the pace as thoughts of Reiko and the chaos at the borders dominate her mind.
