All Welcome
@Liliana & @Asmoses -- and also @Miriam for visibility! If anyone else wants to show up, I guess no stopping you either. XD

Like he did for all his families, Mal was bringing food. The birth of another litter wasn't exactly gonna stop him from that job -- he was dedicated albeit unconventional. Besides, on the previous couple trips he'd noticed they'd started being a bit more lively -- ready to exit the den for a little bit? So when he came up to the den's entry, rabbit in maw, he set it down, peering inside.

A moment just listening, then he quietly called out, Hey you guys. How you doing in there? It wasn't like they understood what he was saying, but he still talked to them. You wanna come stretch your legs? Assuming Miriam let them, of course. If she was even awake right this instant -- Mal was speaking quiet enough he hoped not to disturb anyone too badly.

her father's scent was the woodsy precursor to comfort, something which liliana couldn't decline. she walked away from amma's side with an encouraging nod to asmoses, then crept toward the den's entrance to silently greet their guest.

she sniffed the rabbit with blank curiousity, but found it too uninteresting to hold her attention for long. instead, liliana turned back to mal and chirped, begging for some affection.

words existed to be still a mystery to asmoses, but the fact that he could hear with clarity and babble nonsense at his amma and twinshine was surely a cosmic sign that he was on the right track. he heard mal's baritone from where he'd been snuggled against amma and as liliana rises to greet their father — currently known to asmoses as the other big woof that dropped in from time to time — asmoses takes his time; trying and failing to stifle the yawn as he pushes himself dutifully to his paws and shuffles to liliana's side. he blinks at the thing ( a rabbit ) discarded by mal's paws and deems it uninteresting. his gaze roams up to blink sheepishly at mal letting out a chirrup of agreement though is largely unaware what he was agreeing to.

It didn't take long before the pair showed up before him. They were still so similar that he relied more on his nose than not to tell them apart -- not that they didn't also smell like each other, but hey, they were the sources of their own scent and not actually identical, so that helped.

His daughter was the first out, so she was the first to be greeted, kisses to the top of her little noggin, then same for Asmoses as he joined them. It's a good day outside, we can run around a little, yeah? He crouched down into the lowest playbow that he could do without actually flopping onto the ground -- he was very much on their level -- grinning happily at the pair as he looked between them, Wanna play? Or explore?

When he was with any of his children, it was near-impossible for Mal's tail to stop wagging.

yana watched mal lower himself onto the ground, assuming that unfamiliar posture with a lighter, airier tone. some instinct told her that this was good, and that whatever her father meant to do, it wouldn't harm her. but still.. what did it mean, exactly?

liliana pressed herself against asmoses, bracing him against whatever might come next, and waited for clearer instructions.

baby blues blink owlishly up at mal at the head kiss, relishing in the warm affection even if it brings with it only slight confusion. he is used to such warmth from amma, of course, for she is a constant fixture in his life. mal comes and he goes, though amoses would come to learn that was of no fault of mal's own. he had plenty of children and was their leader and that he showed him and liliana attention at all showed he was a good guy. presently, these facts are unknown to asmoses and so mal is a semi-constant in his life who's visits he looks forward to even if he cannot deduce the reasons behind them ( things far too complex for his baby mind to wrap 'round ). his head tilts to the side in thinly veiled perplexity as he watches his father lower into a playbow before them, on their level.

asmoses lets out a soft baby noise; part rumble, mostly gurgle. the supposed to be assuring sound is meant for liliana as she presses against his side; answering an unspoken feeling that stirs within his breast. asmoses' tail wags behind him and he lets out an enthusiastic chirp, glad to spend time with any wolf who wanted his ( their ) company.

Maybe Caerus had been a little older before he'd started trying to play? Mal wasn't sure any more. It wasn't like he had a diary and had written down everything ever. But hey, he would see if they could play a little. His tail wagged behind him, and he looked quick between them. A second passed, and he leaned quickly forward, licking first son then daughter on the head, then hopped back to where he was, trying to look as mischievous as possible to encourage them to do something similar. He sort of had a plan B if they didn't quite understand.

you guys can powerplay her from here. i'm sorry for holding this one up :(

liliana watched with great interest as big asmoses lowered himself into a proper play-bow and tried to initiate a game. sure, she’d done something like this before.. if not in this exact format; rough-housing with her twin counted, right?

she opened her mouth and went for mal’s nose, hoping to grab onto something worth suckling.
