They both went crashing down into the sand. Orochi had the advantage now, and he'd abuse it. Without a moment's hesitation, he dove down and grabbed onto something. He wasn't exactly sure what it was. Rage blinded him. The yearling yanked backwards and Minori's blood came rushing into his mouth. Her scream followed soon after, along with a kick to the gut and headbutt to the neck.
Orochi stumbled backwards and went into a coughing fit. It was at that moment he knew what he had ripped away from her. An ear. It lay on the ground coated in blood.
That wasn't enough. She needed to leave this island. She needed to be out of his life for good.
