He had not seen enough to know exactly what he had walked up on, but he had plenty to sense that something, somehow was off. Not in the same way he had thought last time he'd seen him, when Neverwinter had been there. Of course, that time had been a lot clearer. Despite any of his efforts, and an impassive expression withstanding, even he could not see what precisely was wrong. Nothing obvious, in any tangible form, he guessed so far, though the thought came with some hesitance; he didn't want to write anything off, or not see it for himself before it was too late.

Bronco came to him, though, and he realized he had held that breath only after the fact, well after everything suddenly zeroed in on his comrade's presence. C'mon? Just like that? He brushed by, and left warmth in his wake. Antares followed him first over his shoulder, squinting at him suspiciously on that note. ...what? he finally asked, stepping after him, each stride lengthening in this new pursuit; obviously, he was coming along, though he did not know to where.

While following after him, watching the backs of Bronco's ears: So what's inspired the trip up here? he asked, finally, remembering he would have to begin somewhere. He could have the Ostrega's compliance, but not without him bugging him a little bit in the meantime--unless he suddenly took off, and if the tables were turned, he felt it could be awfully tempting here. You weren't actually what I meant to track down, but while you were here.. he edged in for his own way of explanation, hopeful for one back in exchange.
