Ouroboros Spine O sea-starved, hungry sea

while shikoba would often steal looks away at the thunderstorms over the dry plains in her youth, her parents often ushered her away due to safety concerns. perhaps it was unnecessary fear that they would be struck, perhaps it was the spiritual belief that someone had angered the gods. whichever answer was correct, shikoba bid no care. instead, she simply nods towards the girl's words softly and fixates her stare towards the sky.

crackling and breaking through the clouds comes a streak of white, with rolling thunder to establish dominance over the sky. though, shikoba bids little care to the situation. her hairs prick up a bit as the sky lets out its fearsome, trembling roars and growls.

"shikoba once told that gods were mad when lightning strikes. what does Samani think?" she asks curiously to the girl as she inches closer to where their shoulders could brush each other if the wind blew through the spine.
