Redhawk Caldera i thought i saw you at the bus stop

After a long night of limited sleep, Reyes had found solace in the early hours of the morning and slept several hours. By the time he was awake and rested Teya wasn't there - and neither was Sorana. Blinking brought to light the pain in his eyes and the pressure in his sinuses; but he rose and shook the dirt from his body, then began to prowl out of the hobbit hole.

That was when he heard Sorana's bright little howls. Reyes winced and that became a yawn, then a squint in to the sun. He turned his head away from the direct light as if he'd had one too many the night before — and saw a figure across the water.

They were just... Sitting there. He blinked a few times and then began to stride towards his daughter, pausing once he was nearer to smile as if nothing was wrong upon their island microcosm.
