a whole day.
they laid in the darkest depths of dreams.
a whole day.
no movement save for the slumbering twitch of paws and the rise and fall of lean sides.
when ice eyes finally opened, it was to peer into a night once more. it felt as if this was the way the existed now. too shameful to see the sun, too comfortable hiding in the dark. the pain that had been dulled the night before by the herbs of the healer, now reared its ugly head once more.
their pain had almost always been present, but it seemed tenfold now. accelerated by a less than kind welcome from mother nature and father sea.
in sluggish manners, they reached into the darkness before them with front legs. a low sound vibrated in their throat.
they desperately wished for the return of the medicine dealer.

Bridget had settled nearby to keep a careful watch over the newcomer. They seemed to at least sleep soundly, but she woke as well to the sound of them rousing.
It had been long enough that more herbs would likely be fine. Bridget avoided the harsher pain medications when she could, having seen the effects of addiction tear through wolves in her training years. She got to her feet, checked them over briefly, and then checked to see that her shell was still there. It was - the same one she'd used to bring water to Harka.

Wait here. I'll be right back. She went to fill it, then returned. She would bring more after, but this would be enough to take the edge off their thirst and to hopefully help wash any herbs down. Next to it was a combination meant to help with both pain and infection - Willow, elderflower, and turmeric.
Drink, and eat this. Hopefully it should help. She was extremely curious who this wolf was and how they came to be here, but she waited patiently. No use overwhelming them now.
