The world was quiet, the vale. And in its silence Reyson found an undying uege a frenzy even to travel the borders. To keep them fresh. Silence only brought bad things.
His fur prickled and his blue eyed gaze was harsh and unyielding on the horizon. Searching for something to come even if it wasn't he fwlt it. Perhaps echoes of years past, of bodies he had buried.
He stood adding his silence to the world around him and he ached.

I will be building Reyson's personality largely in character. So his general personality and mannerisms may change as I learn more about him. I am fine with some plots with him as long as all parties are comfortable and know what is to be expected.

sorry for the novel length here! haven't written with him in awhile and wanted to get some thoughts out. <3
The days grew shorter, and darkness seemed to rule the world. Saleem wasn't terribly miffed by this, but it was an observation he made. During his days, he mostly kept to himself or spent time sparring with @Sylianos any chance he could get his brother to do so. He knew of Meadow and Reyson's children, but he didn't go out of his way to meet them. He spent time patrolling the borders now that he was older, too. Maybe not quite old enough to take on an intruder by himself, but that didn't mean he wouldn't try if given the chance.
Saleem was nearing nine months now, nearly full grown but still needing that extra padding to make him look the part. The only difference one could spot between himself and Silly was their eye colors and the mostly-hidden scar that graced his throat. He had still not found the thing that had attacked him, but at this point it felt moot. If it was still out there, it wasn't like it had a chance now. Saleem would make quick work of it if he ever found it again.
Reyson was a common sight on his patrols, and today was no different. The heavily-scarred brutish Eidos was standing, looking out over the horizon at who-knows-what. Saleem had learned not to ask too many questions now that he'd gotten older. Still, small talk didn't seem to be off the table, so he approached with a wave of his tail.
Wanna go find something better to do?he asked.
Maybe spar with me, or track down some herds nearby? There were times—many times—when Saleem wished for just a smidge more excitement in his life. Not that he wanted to get his throat ripped out again, but sometimes the world seemed to move at an impossibly slow speed, and there was little he could do to keep it moving forward.

No Apology necessary <3
The short dark days of winter, they had always bothered Reyson, but they had bothered Renaud more. His lover had hated such times. Said it was full of sicknes and sadness and the dark leeched into your bones. He knew this to be true. If you fought a battle in winter, more would die to sickness than violence. The twins of Tamar and Arsenio didn't often come to where Meadow and reyson held their pups.
But they were older than his own babes too. By a bit. Blue eyed gaze came upon Saleem and he remembered having promised to teach the boy to hunt and spar. He hadn't had a chance to, but perhaps today.
Reyson preferred the quiet energy that Saleem always carried. It helped to ease some of his misgivings when it came to speaking with others. He was still learning himself how to fully speak long. He could talk to Meadow forever, but other wolves. He still found himself short and brusque on a good day.
Reyson could have argued that what they were doing was important and that it needed done. But he was not so old that he couldn't remember the restlessness of youth and how your blood ran hot. The calmness only came with time.
Either one. Which would you prefer?
