More and more these days, Valiria enjoyed pushing her boundaries. Not far--much as she enjoyed exploring the unknown, she wasn't at all a fan of getting in trouble. She pushed them only just. Just far enough to get somewhere new, but not far enough to to be so far out of line that it couldn't be portrayed as an accident. An oversight of her limits, due to youthful exuberance. She was clever like that, though likely far more transparent than she believed herself to be.
With her family somewhere at her back, just out of sight, Liri grinned a bit devilishly to herself as she prowled forward through the brush. In her imagination, she was not a wolf, but one of the big cats she'd heard stories of that stalked the higher cliffs of the mountain. She held her body low to the ground and tried to move with fluid grace, like a ribbon of silk dancing across a breeze. She wasn't actually hunting anything. Not in reality, anyway. In her mind, though, she was hot on the trail of a ram--young, healthy, muscular, with a giant rack of antlers built for crushing enemies. Nothing more than a child's game for a lion like herself, though.

Tierra was stealing a hidden nap in the growth. She'd discovered that she could disappear for a bit of time and, if she was tired, hide away to avoid being bothered while she caught some rest. What?. She worked hard. She totally deserved to have breaks too, and anyone who had a problem with that was insane.
She'd reasoned it and, guilt-free, was now snoozing away. Whatever noise Valiria was making wasn't enough to wake her up by itself, even as she came closer to the spot she'd picked. The puppy would likely either spot her (or trip into her) before she bothered to wake up and notice.

It wasn't too long before Liri's hunt suddenly changed. She paused at the introduction of a new sound to her senses. The surprise had her dropping to her belly, flattening herself to the ground with nervous, wide eyes. She turned her head slightly, trying to get a better sense of what the noise was. It was familiar somehow, in a way that began to ease her alarm. Slowly, she began to lift her head to peer through the overgrowth until she spotted it--a wolf, snoring lightly as it napped.
Liri cocked her head, both curious and still wary. She didn't know too many of her packmates, but was quick to assume this certainly must be one of them. She knew they could be trusted. She also knew it was rather rude to wake someone up intentionally while they were resting. But the sound coming from her...
She fought it, but was eventually helpless to resist the whims of her imagination.
The hunt began again. The lioness crept forward, her eyes narrowed with focus and determination. She had abandoned her hunt for the ram, opting now for this newly found prey, sleeping so foolishly in her hunting grounds. She paused once she was near enough to strike, eyeing its dark fur and listening to the rumbling grunts it made. This was no wolf before her anymore, but a boar, wild and fierce, and totally at her mercy.
With a little wriggle of her bum, Liri sprang forward suddenly to dig her teeth into a meaty haunch.

Tierra woke up with a yelp as teeth suddenly dug into her leg. It was more a surprise than actually painful, but that didn't stop it from hurting some. She kicked out instinctually, trying to shake them off or shove whatever it was away as she scrambled, half-awake, to get up.
Oh my GOD! Why!?She complained, glaring. She didn't mind being woken up, but really? She hadn't had that bad of a wake up since some mornings with Sphyra. That thought hit a slight nerve, though, and actually diffused some of her reaction a tidge.
