All Welcome
Kheviel was feeling strange that day. She'd been in Sapphique for some time and was just now realizing that she really hadn't done much to warrant her stay here. Of course, she was old, and she felt she had earned a proper retirement after her many years, and all the time in pain. But the wolves here did not know that. So, today, she contemplated her skills, wondering if there was some way to pass on what she knew to the younger generation in exchange for eating the pack's food and using its shelter. Hmm...

c'mon, @Lucette! he shrieked with abandon, taking off from the rendezvous and sprinting through the tall trees of his homeland on the way to the beach.

he was well ahead of his sister, of course. well on his way to winning this race, and—

oh! lafayette exclaimed, careening into a pair of forelegs. sucking in a breath, he backed up quick and then raised his head, looking at the new face. and new it was.

a darker-pelted woman, muzzle and eyes lit with silver. he cast his gaze back, looking for his twin sister, before sheepishly returning it to the other wolf.

she smelled of the sea. she was one of them.

padon; sorry, he continued in his rambling, bilingual speech, taking words here and there and cobbling them into a language. at least these two matched in definition.

Lucette, on the other hand, was not so polite. Her features immediately contorted in a vicious snarl as her brother collided with an unfamiliar figure. She snapped at the air, at least maintaining the decency to warn the stranger rather than going immediately for blood.

But the message was clear: back off.

It didn't matter that the woman had been here first. It didn't matter that Lafayette had run into her. All that mattered was that the woman knew her place.

Kheviel eyed the first one with annoyance. What was with it kids around here and running into her? She opened her mouth to make some snide remark, but the other one appeared before she could say anything. And the other one snapped and snarled at her like something wild and rabid, like she owned the whole ocean, like Kheviel was an intruder. She looked the snarling one over. Young, no more than a few moons old. Then she rose to her paws from where she'd been sitting and lunged for the girl's head, snapping just as ferociously. Her muscles screamed at her immediately, but she ignored the feeling.

The message was clear. Back the fuck up or get bit. She assumed the pup would back up to avoid her teeth. Assumed. She would learn to respect her elders. Or not.

Will she be exiled for possibly attacking a pup? Who know. :D Feel free to decide whether her hit lands at all/how much damage, but be aware that Kheviel is mostly just trying to SCARE her, not really draw blood.

feel free to skip slowpoke for a couple rounds if my replies are as slow as Suzu is <3

She hadn't expected for her net to survive her absence, but to find no shred of its existence left put an arrow through her heart. She thought of Swordfish, wondering ruefully where he was now- and Stingray for that matter, and even Quennell. She'd been surrounded by boys growing up- and while she held her own littermates fondly in her heart, she could not say the same for the other boys she'd grown up with; not since they had abandoned the pack.

She trawled the shore looking for any remnants of the net, but found little in the way of substantial driftwood that she would actually be able to move on her own. She would have to start from scratch- perhaps scavenging further up the beach, or wait for a high tide to bring her new supplies.

She lifted her head when she heard the sound of a snarl, though, and caught sight of an unfamiliar woman (familiar enough in scent that she didn't immediately assume the woman was a trespasser) and two of her niblings. The woman's expression was irate, which she could see even from a distance. She saw the flash of teeth- and given that she was striking for Lucette, Suzu decided to ask questions later, and intervene first.

The only problem was that she was more than a stone's throw down the beach, and even in haste, she couldn't simply zip in and snatch Lucette out of reach. She ran as fast as she could- a bumbling lope for most- and called out with a loud bark, hoping to deter further interaction as she watched the events unfold.

lucette struck first. he was about to correct her when the older woman intervened, and suddenly it was all jaws snapping and teeth flashing discipline up in here. and then the sound of far off barking—

ayyy, hey! lafayette exclaimed, putting himself between his sister and the other wolf. this had all been a misunderstanding, right?!

luce, he addressed his sister, she smell like de sea. we scare her runnin', non?

he turned to the wolfess, blurting, sorry, miss—
