Even though Jet came annoyingly close and began to fancy herself as yet another bone-deterrent, Eshe had become almost entirely engrossed in the scene behind her puphood challenger; and she tried mightily to keep her eyes on the actions of Gannet.

Her heart gave a resounding thump, and she suddenly shoved past Jet— bone forgotten— and tried instead to immediately retrieve the attentions of her one true love. "Kill it, Ganne', kill it!" she squealed excitedly— looking very much the part of the head cheerleader clinging to her quarterback boyfriend's winning arm, as she encouraged him to pulverize the things she didn't like.

Poor Jet went ignored for the time being, but it wouldn't be long before she'd remember her competition and need to snuff it out in favor of recieving all of Gannet's love and attention.
