She released a capitulated sigh when Mal suggested they let the guy out of the log. She supposed it would be kind of shitty to leave him there. We could leave him in there for a while as punishment, she suggested with a smirk. She was mostly joking, but if Mal liked the idea...

As for his help: He did kill the weasel, she pointed out. That doesn't mean I trust him, though, Simmik quickly added. But I guess I'll help you let him out. She walked over to side opposite Mal, ready for his cue to start widening the opening.
