His gaze quickly returned to the vicinity of the lofty man's face, hovering around his nose in an effort to read his intentions. Aventus wasn't experienced enough to know anything, though, and soon what little nerve he had failed him and he lowered his belly to the sodden grass and pressed back his large ears, prostrating himself before Skoll.
