All Welcome
God what even are timelines. Let's do the 14th? Yeah, the 14th. And so vague.

Whether or not she'd been invited to stay in the willows, Lilitu hung around the edges instead. Being there gave her the heebie-jeebies. Like, it felt awfully comforting. . .but for no reason she could pinpoint. The familiarity of the place was what gave her pause, and so she didn't like to go in unless summoned.

This bit of ground wasn't very pleasant, though it was dryer than the rest of the marsh. Her ears and tail twitched every so often, trying to ward off bothersome flies and mosquitoes. They were in abundance here; they liked to hang around the puddles especially.

And it smelled. . .odd. She was beginning to wonder why she didn't just put on a brave face and go into the willows; it certainly was nicer than here.

The girl lay on her side, examining her healing paw. Lilitu still was having some trouble walking. There was a definite limp to her gait—would it ever go away? Her breath caught in her throat as she thought about being impaired forever. No more running free as the wind, no more—

Okay, stop. Worrying about that right now was silly. What she really ought to be worried about was how the heck she was supposed to get home, given that she wasn't even sure whether she wanted to go home. Well, she wanted to see her family, sure. She missed them. But the valley was boring, and there was an unappealing tension in the air there.

She liked it better out here. Even if it did smell and was full of bitey bugs.
