it'd been awhile since he'd lost time. that was nice, but in some ways, it was painful. he felt lonely more often than usual. many days, he entertained thoughts of finding a pack to join. but he knew he couldn't. he would just be a burden. he would just hurt people. so he wandered, and the days blended together even when he was coherent.
the monotony was broken when he caught a familiar scent on the breeze. something he'd smelled before... but he couldn't quite place it. he followed it, drawn in by it.
