Bridget's initial instinct was to push back but instead she let it go. She got it. Her only reason for wanting him back was Sorana's sake, but Bronco hadn't probably spent enough time around her to know just how deeply this had changed her. He was going to have a harder time becoming a 'dad' to her than that, she thought, but she didn't mention it. He'd find out when he found out. She didn't have any reason to get involved in that.

Reyes was a lot of things. But he was a great dad to her. Not involved, but a hint (and a reminder) couldn't hurt.

Moving on to more cheerful things anyway! Bridget glanced at her flank, then adjusted her gait a bit with a hop. It was getting more and more natural to move like this, but some of that ease always seemed to disappear the instant she actually remembered and thought about it.
