He walks along the borders, tail flicking. His mind drifts back to the conversation he’d shared with Masquerade a few days back; beginning to reconsider what they’d said to him about his speech. From time to time, he mutters a word or two to try on his tongue, seeing if he can even straighten out the garbledness. 

Until—

There, a dark figure, almost waiting for him.

The sight of his sister steals a breath from his lungs. He trots over to meet her, tail wagging steadily.

It had been long since he’d seen her. 

You’re back. His voice is warm, relieved. He wears a thin smile on his lips as he circle her, investigating the new scents she brought with her. Had fun?
