overall, cambria's sense of comradery was shared. perhaps because he had nobody else—redd had gone, masquerade dead, and the lot of his siblings were god knows where, anywhere but here. out of the few of his chosen family who remained on the rise, cambria was the only one who spoke. they had this to share.

how long were you on your own again? he asks, another question coming to mind. and what happened to your family?

as for the rise's dynamics, he can only offer a shrug.
