Before the glimmer of light had the chance to disappear, snow began to fall, glittering in the rosy light. The shadows were long, and the days short; autumn began to subside, with the last falling leaves being the first to feel the feathery touch of snowflakes. 

Ameline and @Ancelin called out for @Milan and @Cole, summoning them to a meeting at the feet of the tallest tree in the valley, as though to have it bear witness to the small celebration. 

The sandcastle man would receive a trade token of three porcupine quills, to be embedded within the dark fur at the nape of his neck if he chose, with the help of some tree sap. He would be promoted to Guard, for the work he had done recruiting and minding the borders. The honour of becoming Hedguard someday would be his, if he continued to prove himself. 

The fawn woman would receive a trade token of three bluejay feathers, to be embedded within the fur at her withers if she chose to accept them, along with the dab of tree sap that would help them stick. She would be promoted from Claw to Visor, given the promise she was showing in the area of becoming an advisor. The honour of becoming Hedvisor might someday be hers, if she continued to prove herself.
