I miss her,she said. She missed Argent, too. She missed the promise of marriage, a thing now she did not think would happen for her. Both had been her spouses in all but name, and now she wondered if the bride price was too much to ask of a man. Was that what had turned Argent away? Had she stalled too long with either (or both) of them? Would any other truly be satisfied sharing her with others? All these questions had clouded her spirit, but she did her best to push them away.
