She recalled Blackheart tugging a pheasant from the earth near the borders and remembered that the pack kept food in underground holes.

So she left, carrying the meat proudly in her jaws, she made her way to a far corner of the rendezvous site. There, Alyx dug a crude hole, stuffed her prize in, and hastily covered it. It was sloppy work, but what could you expect from a pup's very first cache?
