Lips unfurled, teeth clenched tight in a snarl, the shadowed giant lumbered after her, circling once she'd come to a still. Unless she fought him, his movements would tighten, almost until they touched fur to fur.
The scent of Zharille was close upon her. Evidently, she was claimed to the lake. She could not leave, and Khaba would be sure to keep a close eye on this new prize.
