Birth
Alright everyone, that's right birthing time. Now please allow Ingram to post before anyone else, then no posting order, and all welcome. Now originally we had planned not to let the pups be played until they were much older, probably about the time they are moving around and eating meat, but that of course can change. If you do want them to wait, please let me know so we can have Eb and Teo put them on NPC, otherwise feel free to post with them. Also @Sanguinex not sure what your plans are, but wanted to tag him too :D

@Akavir (I didn't see a profile for your baby :D), @Ethan (also didn't see a profile for your baby yet.), @Enelise, @Belvedere, @Ingram , @Crowfeather @Silvertongue @Faun , @Kelsier

Dawn was approaching and Ash Paw woke up with a low keening whine. The pain astronomical. She had never experienced such pain, but she knew instinctively what it was. She was both frightened and elated. She shifted her body, stood and moved about, trying to alleviate the pain that continued to thrum like a low ache in her lower abdomen and it only increased.

Finally, she settled, because she felt her body bearing down to push. With a soft sound a cross between a moan and a cry. A daughter was born. Sharp teeth cut the sac away from the head, and tongue pressed life and warmth into the small bundle. A tapestry of Colors much like her.

Acantha. She whispered softly for the little ones ears. Then blissfully for a mere moment the pain subsided and she was able to nuzzle the girl to her side and slip back into a brief nap. Her body tired, but mind knowing more were coming.

A shift in her body and she wanted to scream. Instead she just moved, pressing to the ground fearful of hurting the little one already nestled there. Then another, bite, lick the same movement. Imagine her surprise when it was a little boy this time. Black and tawny and white. Different colored socks. A soft nuzzle and a smile of surprise. She licked along his head.

Belvedere. Was his name.

The next came quicker than the last two. A little female draped in grays and whites. Pristine and unbroken by colors. She curled her into her side, after the same. Her name dropping from her mother's lips with softness.

Enelise.

Finally, the last one came. A girl with a cape of brown and mask too. Her little sweet thing.

Esma. Was this one and then with four bundles near her, tucked nicely against her. She fell asleep quickly and deeply, her body and mind so tired.

morning slumber was interrupted by the low keening whine of his flamewife. he sees himself out of the den to give ashpaw room as she labors.

as he waits, a pacing sentry outside the denmouth time ceases to be a comprehensible concept. ashpaw's pained cries are joined by the symphony of tiny squeals and mewls.

their children.

part of ingram itches to go to his threadbones but resists their haunting call.

he waits until the last cub is born, counting them as they came into the world, and the time between the birth of each of them ... and shrugs into the den to find four squirming cubs at ashpaw's breast.

they're beautiful. croons the patronsaint to his flamewife.

magick, seeing the dead, threadbone reading & 'godhood' is to be taken purely with a grain of salt and are written to be creations of ingram's imagination and religious faith.

the little girl, born the last of her litter, squirmed her way into the world. unaware of anything around her, as her sealed eyes blocked any light, and her closed ears blocked any sound, it was all she could do to worm herself in between her siblings, against her mothers belly, and start to nurse.
Ask before skipping. Esma was born 3/5/23

A squeak of distaste left the tiny girls lips. Not that she would know what this meant yet.

All she had known was she had been warm, her belly didn't hurt and it wasn't hard to breath and then wham, bam thank you mam, she was thrust. A** first into the unknown with cold air, a tiny stomach tight with hunger and soft little lungs that actually had to work, which honestly was quite disgusting really.

How dare she be born. She hadn't been ready.
