While his greeting was soft, the sudden words spooked the mountain wolf into movement as she stepped toward the large stone before turning sharply. Her fur bristled accompanied by a rising heat in her face as she looked over the stranger.

The dark-colored wolf was unfamiliar, although Easthollow's scent seemed to linger amongst his own. A new member? Faces had come and gone with winter and all the snow, and while she was not well acquainted with many of the new members, she was sure she had not seen him before. Yellow eyes trailed down his figure to the vacant space where a leg would normally reside.
