On her return from Moontide, Nasamiituuq sought @Waawaashkeshi at once. She'd wanted to bring her friend along for the trip, but with the presence of such a large threat in the wilds it had seemed wise to leave her behind. The moongirl was intimately familiar with her homeland, quick on her feet and resourceful enough to look out for herself. Another wolf would only slow her down if something went wrong, she'd reasoned.

All the same she was relieved to be home safely. She howled once to announce her return, and a second time to call out for Keshi.

Rare to settle within the pack borders, Waawaashkeshi was glad she had this time when the sound of her friends howl reached her ears. Raising to her feet she bounded towards the sound, lifting her head to let out a song of her own in response.

Her heart was nearly beating of of her chest, tail lashing in pure excitement as she spotted her dear Nasamiituuq.

Slowing herself upon her approach, she was quick to nuzzle into the neck of the other woman. "You've returned!"

I took my sister Nantahala to Moontide, one of Moonglow's sister packs, Nasamiituuq explained, readily embracing her friend. It isn't so safe to travel alone right now. She finished frowning, concerned as she drew back to look at Keshi.

Still, her golden eyes were soft. You've been away so much, I worry for your safety sometimes, She confessed. Her ears folded slowly to her skull. Nasamiituuq hated to discourage Keshi's adventurous spirit — but it would be safer, she thought, if they traveled together. Or if Keshi simply stayed home!

She wouldn't ask it of her, but the desire was clear in her eyes.

Her smile did not fade as Nasamiituuq spoke of her worries, Waawaashkeshi listening carefully. But what danger is there to worry about, my friend? Her question was genuine, curious. She had not faced any danger in her travels - not anything she could not easily evade that is.

But if Nasamiituuq was truly concerned, she supposed that it would not hurt her to remain in one place. She had come to Moonglow to stay with her friend, after all. To learn from her.

So long as Waawaashkeshi could share her songs and chase her birds, she would be happy no matter where she was.

Bad wolves to the west, my grandmother said, Nasamiituuq advised without judgment or frustration; with so much always happening, she wasn't surprised her friend had missed the news. She hugged Keshi again, tightly this time.

I would just hate it if anything happened to you! Her eyes welled with tears just to imagine such a horrible thing. Already Keshi had become so dear to her. Nasamiituuq had made few friends in her short life, but more than that, the gilded birdhunter brought a unique joy to the moongirl's heart. When Keshi was near, Nasamiituuq could hardly ever think of anything else.

She leaned into Nasamiituuq as she embraced her, lapping gently under her ear.

If you worry, then I will stay here for some time. She decided, her tail waving everso gently. Have you ate?

She decided to change the topic, her hope being to take Nasamiituuq's mind off of such horrible things.
