Laurel expected for Xan to come to a halt and either run away or meet her head on. She couldn't quite tell which of these plans he'd gone for; all she felt was the collision. He lowered his head and Laurel nipped playfully at his ears and the fur on top of his head. She growled playfully in appeased way as he nipped back at her.

As he stepped forward Laurel, who wasn't trying very hard to be the winner of the play fight at all, easily lost balance. She let out a surprised laugh as they both went tumbling down to the ground and nipped at Xan's face almost gingerly so as they went crashing down to the ground.
