If only she could believe that he wanted to see her for anything other than taking from her. Taking her children, taking Piper, taking something more than he already had. She couldn't believe that it was all for something greater - for love, for anything. Laurel just ran until she was far away from the situation, her body heaving with sobs. She didn't return to her children or seek out @Indra; she just stayed alone for some time, wishing that life wasn't the way that it was right now. Wishing that things had been different. Wishing for him to show up and make it all alright, but she knew, deep down, that if he did show up things wouldn't be alright. They'd just rot further and further until she had nothing left.
