It might also make things harder, considering she had confided in him about Mahler. She knew exactly how he felt about it, even if he had remained calm about the whole thing. Regardless, having him here as a part of Diaspora was something she found she wanted quite a lot. But he had his own life and a responsibility to Nanook; she could understand that even if it hurt to know his loyalties were divided now. She knew it would happen some day, and she was glad that he was happy. She would stand on the borders and watch his departure, remaining until she could no longer see his form on the horizon.
