Ravensblood Forest hush, lay down your troubled mind

She stayed close to Mal, thankful that Huā was on his other side. They knew the extent of her involvement in all of this and for some reason, that made her feel better about being back here before she had really thought through everything. 

Still her heart slammed against the sides of her chest as they stopped at the edge of the forest she knew so well. She wasn't sure how this would go; she didn't want any violence for a number of reasons and hoped she could help keep things from ramping up, but she knew she could only do so much. And if it came down to it, she was a warrior and would do what was needed to keep her pack and their allies safe. 

She met the sea wolf's gaze when she looked back, her own thoughts of keeping things peaceful mirroring the Beta's own thoughts. And when she called for Donovan, Simmik's fiery gaze searched the trees, looking for the first sign of movement as her stomach tied itself in knots. She was careful to keep her face expressionless, though; it was important that she keep her cool.
