She wasn't surprised to be met with his complete understanding; he was always supportive of her, no matter the situation. His next words had her forcing a smile and a nod because she wondered how proud they would be if they knew how easily she had been mislead by a handsome face. I just don't want them to think I'm dead, you know? she answered. That was the real reason for this trip—that and to try and have some kind of relationship with them again.
