Neverwinter Forest sunlight streaming through the window frame

Simmik had followed the intruder's scent from the borders, intent on tracking them down and dealing with them. She patrolled enough that she picked up the strangers scent with no issue and turned from the edge of the forest to see how far they had made it. Whatever they were doing, they were about to feel her teeth in their hide because she had no tolerance for trespassing. 

It wasn't long before Aibreann's scent mixed with that of the intruder, and the Beta increased her speed, sprinting through the trees to cover as much distance as quickly as possible so that she could offer support to her packmate who clearly had the same idea she had. 

She arrived to find the boy pinned beneath the mother, and his disrespectful words made her snarl as she came to stand over him. You are no guest of ours, she said with a growl. You deserve nothing but our teeth as far as I'm concerned. The only thing stopping her was that Aibreann had arrived first, and Simmik thought she deserved the first bite; she didn't care that the stranger was practically a kid—he was old enough to know better.
