The call comes out of nowhere, abrupt and oddly intriguing to the ice wraith. He draws to a halt as the call finishes, hovering silently in place for a moment before he determines the direction of it and sets off. His determination shortens the journey, and he finds a girl — a big-eared sandy girl, with the strangest eyes he's ever seen. His hackles bristle slightly at the sight of her, wild ice shards along his back, but she's small and frail, hardly a threat to the battle-hardened snowsprite.
