The scent of pig was on the air as Arsenio climbed to the peak of his path and stopped to survey. The machitís licked his chops hungrily. Pale blue eyes scoured the rocky steps, searching for signs of where the goats or boar had carved a way down without risking their numbers.

Several paces below, nestled on a flat shelf upon the mountain, there were three pigs scooping dirt with their large snouts. It appeared a mother and her two piglets seeking food. Arsenio released any fear he may have carried and circled wide until he had found a way to weave downward.

The mountain stone did little to conceal the sharp auburn of his coat.
