The Greek man held this for a time before he bowed his head to partake of the Pharaoh’s offerings. The sweetness of it was shocking, leaving a tartness behind on the roof of his mouth and the back of his throat. The Pharaoh used his sweet and beautiful things to hide the rotting devil underneath.
