She'd pulled away Indra from Merrick to search for her own children, and now she was pushing away her own child because she thought it was the right thing to do. And look how he turned out. Laurel turned back towards Mahler and Indra and ran to catch up with them. She knew it was the wrong thing to do, but she couldn't leave her poor child — her poor baby — alone. She'd rather die in her daughter's arms than lose her in the rubble of this fight. She didn't even notice the wolves that were hot on her trail as she called out to Mahler and Indra to let them know she was coming: Indra! Mahler!
