long ago, before sobeille was even a concept, a curious puppy had been assailed by the pincers of a tenacious crab. sobeille did not know it, but she was about to watch history repeat itself.

she inched closer. eloise raised her chubby paw and slammed it down, but the crab had already scuttled out of danger. now, eloise was wobbling after it.

curious to see what eloise would do, and how this crab would respond to its new huntress, sobeille craned her neck and for a second willed the crustacean to turn and raise its claws to the puppy's face.
