Moonspear Never hold back your step for a moment

After his talk with Alya Charon had become more wary. What if she was right and Liffey and Rannoch weren't reliable? Who was Liffey even, really? He'd always liked her because of how she was -- part of this was for the same reasons he had always liked Dhole, until she up and left, the light-hearted clumsiness and jokes and the good-natured sweetness -- but if his daughters had only poor experiences with her, then maybe they were right. And he wondered if she and Rannoch were really pulling their weight, or if so far, they'd been a charity case considering how much Rannoch had taken in his first few months in the pack. Charon was not so sure those months had been repaid just yet.

The fact that Julia hadn't returned home yet further confirmed his suspicions Redhawk Caldera had to be up to something. They must've taken her, he thought anxiously to himself. Redhawk Caldera had taken another of his girls — this was a thread that was wildly growing out of control. How could they safely bring another litter to this world without fear of Redhawk Caldera coming 'round to kill their pups?

When he found Liffey chatting with the Redhawk prisoner he felt wary, too. What if they were talking about... the complot against Moonspear (dun dun dunnn!). He narrowed his eyes but quickly pulled his face straight again as he approached them. He chuffed to announce his presence, though in hindsight thought maybe he should've tried to stay out of sight and hearing range and listen in on them. "Have you seen Julia?" he asked Liffey specifically once he'd reached them, but eyeing Gannet from the side in case he wanted to chip in on an answer too.
