Fascinated by the vibrant colors of the maplewood--and, more importantly, the beauty of the women within it--Vercingetorix hung around the forest, far enough away to be respectful of the Morningsiders but close enough to snoop. And snoop he did. It was boring, for a while, until raised voices and the sound of snarls carried over the wind. The brute trotted that way, coming to a halt in the shadows of a small cluster of trees.

Hoooo, boy! This was gonna be good. One against many? Verx had to give the dark man mad props for having the stones to take on a pack by himself. Then again, he considered himself sort of a de facto ally of the Morningside pack, so should they need backup, well. . .
